Demag Extensor Plus Screeds

The Demag extensor plus screed a high compaction screed. With this screed, it´s possible to achieve 4% compaction compared to standard screeds.

This system works in three compaction steps:

  • Pre-compacted and fed beneath the screed plate using variable frequency tamper bars.
  • Secondary compaction and levelling is then done with the screed bottom plate Ð aided by vibrators that form an integral part of the screed frames.
  • Final compaction is done with an additional vibratory compaction unit thatÕs driven from the shaft of the vibrator in the main screed. The increase in compaction from is achieved with infinitely variable pressure thatÕs applied hydraulically to the compaction unit, which ensures an optimum degree of final compaction for varying paving requirements.

Demag Fixed Screeds

Due to high stability, Demag fixed screeds can realise a paving width up to 14 meters. A basic width from 3 meters to a maximal width of 14 meters is achieved with manual extension boxes. So the fixed screeds manage the greatest possible width. Equipped with a gas heating system, they‘re all electronically controlled and ensure short initial heating times, accurate temperature control, and operator safety.
