Iveco Engines

Iveco was founded in 1975 in Turin, Italy – today’s headquarters are located in Piedmont Italy. The modern day organisation is a fusion of a number of different ventures and today forms part of CNH Industrial, a global organisation which incorporates 12 different companies which design and manufacture a wide variety of machines for varying industries.

Iveco engines are used for numerous different applications to suit a variety of requirements right across the globe, serving Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, East and South East Asia, Kazakhstan, Australia and New Zealand. The Iveco automotive range includes light, medium and heavy commercial vehicles as well as buses, fire engines and a wide selection of defence vehicles, Iveco engines are also used in construction, marine, agriculture and power generation.

Iveco Engine Families

Iveco classify their diesel engines into four different families.

SOFIM HPI Engines

This engine family includes the smaller 2.3 and 3.0 litre SOFIM HPI engines.

New Engine Family (NEF) Engines

These engines are available in 1-3, 1-4 and 1-6 cylinder configurations ranging from 80 to 227 HP.

Cursor Engine Range

The 1-6 Cursor engine range offers displacements of 7.8, 10.3 and 12.9 litres with HP rating from 236 to 530.

Vector V-Type

The larger VECTOR V-type range offers 6, 8, 12 and 16 cylinder engines with displacements of 15, 20, 30 and 40 litres with HP ratings from approximately 700 to over 2000HP.

Marine Engines

Iveco also offer a wide range of marine engines with varying power ratings from 20 to 1200hp.
