Lombardini Engines

Lombardini are a long-standing Italian manufacturer of diesel engines, suitable for a range of industries including construction, automotive and marine. The organisation has its first beginnings in 1922 in Reggio Emilia in Italy by brothers Rainero and Adelmo under the name of Lombardini Fabbrica Italiana Motori S.p.A.

Following World War II, Lombardini steadily expanded to become Italy’s leading small agricultural supplier and from there went on to become one of Italy’s most prominent diesel manufacturers. Lombardini are now part of the Kohler Diesel Engine’s family and were ISO certified in 1995.

Product Range

Lombardini manufacture air cooled single and multi-cylinder diesel engines from 4 to 40 HP, as well as liquid cooled industrial and marine diesels from 12 to 60 HP.

The single cylinder air cooled engines, including the 3LD and 6LD have been on the market for decades and are available in five different continents. Lombardini’s latest single cylinder on the market is the 15LD range, which varies from 220 to 500cc/11 to 65HP.

Lombardini twin cylinder and three-cylinder engines are available to reach a power output of 37HP.

Air-Cooled Diesel Engines

Lombardini offer a wide range of single and multi-air cooled engines and displacements from 225cc to 3.7 litres.

Liquid Cooled Diesel Engines

The water-cooled range of Lombardini engines from 440 to 2200cc/11 to 65HP and are available as twin, three or four cylinder.

Petrol Engines

Lombardini have reduced their range of petrol engines considerably, today only the Intermotor series, ranging from 9 to 11HP exists, as well as a water-cooled 20HP gasoline engine which is still in production.
